A Mighty Tasty Menu Design

Koja Sushi, located in The Jacksonville Landing, recently had Media Design recreate their six page menu. Some new elements were incorporated, like a bamboo wood background for added texture and warmth with burnt edges. While others, like the Koja yin and yang, remained for brand consistency.

Download a copy of their mouth-watering menu, then visit their restaurant to see why they've been voted Best of Jax for Sushi. Not a Sushi lover? They've got you covered with Hawaiian Steak, Teriyaki Chicken and more!

Either way you roll, the Koja Sushi menu is hot and fresh (like wasabi & ginger).

Logo Design in the Fast Lane

This company is going places - literally! Jacksonville Joe, a local transportation company was in need of a fresh identity and Media Design helped take them to the right destination. Owner, Joe Lazcano, wanted the look to represent Jacksonville as well as illustrate their expert taxi services. From downtown to the beaches and out to the airport, Jacksonville Joe Transportation can take you there!

Media Design created a modern logo that speaks volumes about the company while still being clean and sophisticated with a splash of color. Two separate cards were also developed and printed; a traditional, informational business card for Joe and a contact card for customers and referring businesses.

We're just getting started with Jacksonville Joe and hope to travel on to the next project in the near future. As a testament to this first phase of the journey, Lazcano voiced, "Thank you so much for giving me a distinctive and elegant start."

Media Design Goes Blue

Media Design is happy to introduce the newly renovated Florida Blue website we have developed. The fresh, clean look compliments their strong brand identity and has helped launch the revolutionary Florida Blue retail centers.

The previous site originally created by Media Design was home to the first Florida Blue stores located in Jacksonville and Pembroke Pines. New, full service mega-centers have recently opened in Tampa and Miami. Shoppers looking for health insurance can get questions answered in person and help finding the best option to meet their health care needs. Blue Cross and Blue Shield members now have a place to go to:

• Talk with a nurse about your doctor’s treatment options

• Find out how your benefit plan will cover a service

• Learn how a health savings plan can save you money

• Shop for a health care plan that fits you & your budget

• Compare costs on health care services & prescriptions

• Research doctors & hospitals

• Check your health with a personal health assessment

The Tampa and Miami centers offer free health care workshops, events and seminars open to the public. The include a Weekly Wellness event every Wednesday with a different health topic, a monthly Health Fair with free health screenings and monthly Medicare Information Sessions.

Media Design is excited about the growth of Florida Blue and the continuation of this web design project. Look out Jacksonville, we’re next to get our very own “stand alone” Florida Blue center! Currently under construction in the St. Johns Town Center area.

“Max Out. Be Fun. Go Safe.” Website for Teen Safety

Media Design created a cool, custom website to help launch the new SafeRoutes4U campaign targeted to pre-teenagers. SafeRoutes4U is a great place to go for common sense SAFETY you can LIVE by and includes safety related tips, videos, activity book download and an online survey.

Safe Kids North Central Florida
teamed up with the Florida Department of Transportation's Traffic Safety Team and Safe Routes to School Program to increase bicycle, pedestrian and traffic safety for our children.

You Lose Campaign Targets Teens

Last year, Trauma One Shands Jacksonville hired Media Design to come up with a concept for underage drinking that would grab the attention of teenagers. The "You Lose" poster and die-cut cards Media Design produced were distributed at local high schools and a special event filled with troubled teens. The response was the best they had ever received. The You Tube spoof was an instant winner. The piece was realistic, pretty gross and just graphic enough to hit the message home and make it stick.

Recently Media Design had the opportunity to create a brand new "You Lose" project highlighting the dangers of texting while driving. With teen auto accidents on the rise, Mothers Against Brain Injury teamed up once again with TraumaOne and the Allstate Foundation. Together they are promoting a Teen Driving PSA Contest throughout Northeast Florida high schools. You can see last year's winning PSA from Middleburg High School at First Coast News.

Everyone at Media Design got into the fun of staging an auto accident with major trauma to the head. Special thanks goes out to Alex, our victim. He did a great job acting unconscious and wasn’t afraid of getting bloody.

Fast Turnaround for Up-And-Coming Event Venue

Looking for an original place to host a special celebration or your next business meeting? Then you need to check out downtown Jacksonville's 927, located at 927 W Forsyth Street.

After restoring and renovating a vacant three-story building near the Prime Osborn Convention center, 927 business owners were looking to quickly introduce their unique space to Northeast Florida. Media Design was in charge of creating a look that would appeal to a wide range of clients, from brides planning their receptions to families celebrating major milestones to business leaders orchestrating important meetings.

Time was of the essence, but the design needed to reflect the mix of urban and traditional influences of the building and it's decor. We created a custom background and chose fonts that represent the fun balance of elegance and casualness which radiates from 927. The consistent image we designed flows from all the printed collateral pieces (a full color brochure, postcards, business cards and promotional flyers) to the 927 events website.
