The previous site originally created by Media Design was home to the first Florida Blue stores located in Jacksonville and Pembroke Pines. New, full service mega-centers have recently opened in Tampa and Miami. Shoppers looking for health insurance can get questions answered in person and help finding the best option to meet their health care needs. Blue Cross and Blue Shield members now have a place to go to:
• Talk with a nurse about your doctor’s treatment options
• Find out how your benefit plan will cover a service
• Learn how a health savings plan can save you money
• Shop for a health care plan that fits you & your budget
• Compare costs on health care services & prescriptions
• Research doctors & hospitals
• Check your health with a personal health assessment
The Tampa and Miami centers offer free health care workshops, events and seminars open to the public. The include a Weekly Wellness event every Wednesday with a different health topic, a monthly Health Fair with free health screenings and monthly Medicare Information Sessions.
